Restricted Areas

Violation of the following regulations will result in the vehicle being ticketed and/or towed away at owner's expense.
/

No Parking Areas:

Parking is permitted only within marked stalls.

Fire Lanes Are Not Open for Parking at Any Time.

To do so creates an extreme hazard and in the event of an emergency, vehicles would not be able to reach areas involved. Additionally - all lanes are considered fire lanes.

All Areas Not Specifically Designated for Parking by Signs, Striping, Bumper Blocks, or Other Devices Are "No Parking" Zones.

No parking is permitted in yellow zones, loading zones, accessible areas, no parking areas, motorcycle zones, or permit required areas without a valid permit or decal.

No parking is permitted on sidewalks, in a dumpster area, in front of a driveway, within an intersection, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, on a crosswalk, on grass or other surfaces not designated for parking, or in any roadway or traffic lane.
Vehicles parked in a manner that is deemed to be unsafe will be considered in violation.

A campus area that has been closed off by barricades or other traffic control devices, including signs, will not be entered by any vehicle unless specifically authorized by Parking Services.

Parking & Transportation Services may suspend parking enforcement in, preempt the use of, and/or close any parking area preceding special events. Parking & Transportation Services reserves the right to charge a fee for parking at these events.

Loading Zones:

Loading zones are for loading and unloading purposes only. They allow a 15-minute maximum time limit without a permit. Loading zone permits are available at no charge at the Department of Parking & Transportation Services, for a maximum time limit of one hour and are valid in loading zones on day of issue only. If campus guests, visitors, students, staff or faculty of the University require more than one hour in a loading zone they must purchase a visitor/day pass at the Department of Parking & Transportation Services (valid only in parking areas indicated on the pass, and only for day of issue).
