Rules and regulations governing parking are in
effect 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 12 months a year
unless otherwise specified.
Permit holders may be asked not to park in
the BSU lots when events are scheduled.
Static cling decals are to be placed on the lower inside corner
of the drivers side windshield. To recharge the static qualities
of the decal lightly rub it on your clothing. The permit
must be visible to be valid. The decal may only be moved
between vehicles that have been previously registered with the
Department of Transportation and Parking Services. Displaying
permits/decals in/on an unregistered vehicle is a violation of
regulations, and the permit/decal will become invalid and/or
confiscated, vehicle ticketed and/or impounded, and/or parking
privileges revoked.
A general parking permit does not guarantee a parking space;
it simply allows one to park in any general parking area in a
legal space. General permit parking is available in a
designated portion of the Towers parking lot, the Stadium
parking lot, and other general permit designated lots (Please
see map for general permit designated areas). General permits
are sold to current Boise State students, staff, faculty and
alumni and are valid when properly displayed in registered
vehicles. General parking permits are valid in general permit
required lots Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m..
From 5:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to
12:30 a.m. on weekends, during official Boise State holiday breaks
and when classes are not in session general parking permits are
valid in reserved parking lots with the exception of the Brady
Garage, Lincoln Garage, and the Administration Visitor Lot.
General permits are not valid for overnight parking at any
time.
Overnight parking is allowed by those living
in University Housing and Residence Halls only.
Permits are not transferable; however, a permit may be moved
between vehicles that have been registered with the Department
of Parking & Transportation Services and assigned to the
permit. A special no-charge parking permit for the day may be
obtained if the assigned general permit is unavailable.
Dash permit cards shall be displayed fully visible,
uncovered, printed side up on driver's side of
dashboard inside vehicle. A permit holder is eligible for up
to 10 school days of these special permits per year at no charge.
Once these 10 days are used, visitor/day passes must be
purchased.
Failure to comply with any of the foregoing could
result in citation issuance and/or render permits invalid
and registration incomplete.
A full refund will be given
for a permit returned withing the first 10 days of class in
the Fall. After that a 50% refund will be given until 10 days
after the beginning of classes in January. After that no
refunds will be given. All outstanding fines with Parking
Services must be paid in full prior to refund issuance. Proper
idendification must be provided in order to receive a refund
