Tenure-Track Experimental Biophysics -- Fall 2010

TENURE-TRACK EXPERIMENTAL BIOPHYSICS -- FALL 2010

The Department of Physics at Boise State University seeks a biophysics experimentalist with a PhD in physics, biophysics, or a closely related discipline, and subsequent biophysics research experience. This is a tenure-track physics faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, and includes startup funding and a new research laboratory. Building a vigorous externally funded research program that engages undergraduate and graduate students (including future PhD students in a planned interdisciplinary PhD program in Biomolecular Science) is essential, together with a passion for teaching and a strong interest in interdisciplinary research collaborations. Please see our ad at www.boisestate.edu/physics and e-mail a cover letter, CV, statements of research interests and teaching philosophy, and the names and contact information of three references to physics@boisestate.edu, with a subject line of “Biophysics Search AA-0003-90”. Review of applications will begin on January 8, 2010 and continue until finalists are identified. Applications received after that point will be considered if the position is not filled from the finalist pool.
