Fee Schedule

Supervisors are delegated the authority to direct, coordinate, enhance, and evaluate the on-the-job performance of supervisees for whose work they are accountable. In implementing this responsibility, supervisors perform administrative, educational, and supportive functions in interaction with supervisees in the context of a positive relationship. The ultimate objective of supervision is to deliver to clients the best possible service, both quantitatively and qualitatively, in accordance with agency and other policies and procedures (Kadushin & Harkness, 2002). My fee for supervision in clinical social work is $100/hr.

Although consultants frequently perform administrative, educational, and supportive functions in interaction with the supervisee, consultation and supervision are different. With limited authority to direct, coordinate, enhance, and evaluate the process of clinical social practice, for example, consultants are less accountable for its outcomes. As currently written and as proposed in the rules drafted by the Idaho State Board of Social Work Examiners for 2003(1), consulting clinical supervision with an educational focus is appropriate for masters social workers in preparation for clinical practice. My fee for consultation in clinical social work is $75/hr.

Discounted Fees

I use four criteria to evaluate requests for discounted fees: (1) your ability to pay, (2) my liability for your social work practice, (3) the regional marketplace for consultation and supervision in clinical social work, and (4) your membership and participation in the Idaho Society for Clinical Social Work (http://www.idahoclinicalsociety.com/).
