Welcome to the Boise State
University’s Student Nurses' Association’s web page. The Student Nurses'
Association is a professional organization for student nurses that are seeking
professionalism and leadership skills. The Student Nurses Association is just
the beginning of many organizations student nurses will have the opportunity to
be involved in as they progress through their career.
This association provides student nurses
with many opportunities to work out in the community, in the legislative
process, campus wide events, as well as opportunities in leadership.
The Student Nurses Association consists
of eleven board members and over 100 general members at Boise State University.
In the 2001-2002 academic year the BSU SNA was awarded outstanding organization
of the year. This award winning organization offers many promising experiences
to all those who are interested.
The BSU SNA is only the first tier on the
ladder of the Student Nurses' Association. There is both a state level (Idaho
Student Nurses Association) and a national level (National Student Nurses
Association) to this organization.
Twice a year the National Student Nurses' Association holds a conference. For year 2005 - 2006 the mid-year conference is to be held in Louisville, Kentucky in November and the annual conference is to be held in Baltimore, Maryland. Conference is open to any member of SNA. Our local chapter holds a competition to allow general members the chance to go at reduced cost or free to the annual conference. For more information on the conferences ask any member of the BSU SNA board.
To join SNA get your application from the mailroom or email the PIT Recruiter.
