ENGL 521 Topics in On-screen Document Production

Human-Computer Interaction (3-0-3) (F/S). This course introduces you to the principles of online documentation by focusing on three online services: company/corporate sites on the World Wide Web, help systems, and multimedia computer-based instruction. Central to the course will be the study and application of effective hypertext and screen-design techniques from fields such as cognitive science, software psychology, and human factors. PREREQ: ENGL 515 or PERM/INST.
