ENGL 521 Topics in On-screen Document Production

Usability Testing (3-0-3) (F/S). This graduate seminar explores the principles and design of usability testing. Topics to be covered include developing a testing plan, selecting and coordinating test participants, preparing test materials, conducting tests, analyzing results, and preparing completion reports. As part of the course, students will conduct usability tests for one or more web sites. The course will be conducted as a discussion of the course readings and as a workshop for preparing the class usability-test projects. PREREQ: ENGL 515 or PERM/INST.
