ENGL 521 Topics in On-screen Document Production

Web-Based Training (3-0-3) (F/S). The number of online training sites in academic and workplace settings has dramatically increased creating a demand for experts who know all aspects of Web-based training (WBT) site design. This course will help you use Web technologies to create 21st-century alternatives to traditional training materials. You will learn to take an objective look at the advantages and disadvantages of Web-based training, recognize the WBT options (format, content, delivery, and design) that are available to you, use adult learning theory to create active learning opportunities, design the structure of a WBT program, and evaluate your WBT course. PREREQ: ENGL 515 or PERM/INST.
