Computer Lab Facilities

Our department facilities consist of three PC computer labs. Our primary lab houses 25 Pentium IV workstations using Windows XP and networked to a Novell NetWare server. All computers have rewriteable CD-ROMS and multiple USB ports. Zip drives are also available. Among the software packages available, almost all in the latest versions, are the following:

Also available is a Hewlett Packard 4P color scanner with Paperport and Omni Page Pro software.

A second lab containing 25 computers (Pentium III and IV workstations)is available for Program classes. A third lab containing 25 computers (mostly Pentium III workstations) is available for both introductory undergraduate Program classes and the service course ENGL 202.

All labs are networked to Hewlett-Packard LaserJet printers, resident in each lab. All computers have full access to the Internet.

The university provides students with their own e-mail accounts.
