Kelly Baker is the most honored volleyball player in Boise State University history. During her career, which was from 1986-1989, Baker was named to several all-star teams. In 1987 and 1989, she was named to the All-Northwest Region Volleyball Team, and the Mountain West Conference all-star team following the 1987 season. The Broncos moved their women’s programs into the Big Sky Conference in 1989, and Baker continued to excel earning first team all-league honors in 1988 and 1989. In 1988 she helped the Broncos to the Big Sky Conference Regular Season Championship. As a senior in 1989, she helped Boise State to a second place finish at the National Invitational Tournament. Baker earned all-NIT Tournament honors at the post-season event. Baker was also named to the Big Sky Conference All-Decade Volleyball team for the 1980’s. She holds the Boise State career records for most kills with 1,281, and for the most blocks with 492. She graduated with a degree in Physical Education/Secondary Education in 1990.
