Drop-In Kayak Nights
Kayak Demo nights are sponsored by the Outdoor Program. These drop-in sessions are also a great way to learn about the upcoming river events and to work on your skills. On April 1 and 8, meet at the pool in the Kinesiology Annex at 7PM. We will have the Alpenglow Demo on April 1 and the Idaho River Sports Demo on April 8.

Drop-In Bike Basic Bike Repair Clinic
Every Thursday from April 3 until May 15, park your car at home and get your bike out of the garage. Here is your chance to drop by with your bike and have a trained mechanic give you technical advice. The mechanic will help you make minor adjustments and do preventative maintenance.

Outdoor Climbing
Explore the world of Outdoor Climbing. Sign up to learn about climbing history, equipment, knot tying, rope handling, proper belay techniques, and movement on rock. This is your chance to make the transition from indoor plastic holds to real rock. The first session of the seminar will be held in the Boise State Climbing Gym and will serve as a transition to outdoor climbing. On day two we will journey off campus and head to the Black Cliffs for a full day of outdoor climbing. All climbing equipment will be provided by the Outdoor Program. Whitewater Kayaking 101
These three-day seminars will offer students an opportunity to explore the basic techniques of kayaking. In the pool we will learn the history, equipment, stroke techniques for proper boat control, and the Eskimo roll. The river trips will focus on river reading, eddy turns, ferries, basic principles of river safety, and lots of fun. Registration for both sessions continues until April 9.

Used Outdoor Equipment Sale
On April 12, drop by and check out the great deals on the Outdoor Program's outdoor used equipment. There will be rafts, kayaks, snowshoes, skis, camping gear, and more for sale. All whitewater equipment will be sold through a two-hour silent auction process with the items going to the highest bidder. All non-whitewater items will be individually priced and will be sold on a first-come/first-serve basis. You must bring your Student ID to be eligible to purchase equipment at the sale.
