Closure: SUB Patio (May 27 - August 14 )

The SUB Patio and Patio Entrance will be closed for construction
from May 27 until August 14.


The existing northeast entrance at New Student Information, the Special Events Center, and the West Main Entrance will remain open. Signs will be posted directing pedestrian traffic to the nearest available entrance into the SUB.

Writing Center Opens for the Summer

Once again, the Boise State Writing Center opens its doors for the summer, from Monday through Thursday each week.

We opened on Monday, May 19th, and will run through Thursday, August 14th. Our hours are 9 to 4 each day. To make an appointment online, please visit our web page at www.boisestate.edu/wcenter. You can also stop by the Center, Liberal Arts Building 200, or give us a call: (208) 426-1298.

Admissions Deadline

Fall semester is just around the corner! If you or someone you know is interested in enrolling at Boise State this fall, please be aware that June 30 is the deadline for degree-seeking students to submit admission materials. Students must meet the deadline if they plan to take more than 7 credits or apply for federal financial aid.

Have You Been to BAM?

Boise State University, with support from the Divisions of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs, is partnering with the Boise Art Museum (BAM) to offer FREE admission to BAM for Boise State students, faculty and staff! Currently enrolled Boise State students will be admitted to BAM free of charge when presenting a valid student ID card.

In addition to their permanent collection, BAM also presents temporary exhibitions throughout the year.


CURRENT EXHIBITS INCLUDE:

Andrea Merrell: Measure of Man
April 5 – June 22, 2008
A combination of drawings, sculpture and mixed-media works based on sacred geometry, mathematical formulas, also incorporating a study of the paintings of 14th-century Italian renaissance artist Giotto.

Marsden Hartley: American Modern
March 15 – June 22, 2008
The largest collection of work by this twentieth-century American master, an avant-garde artist who was involved in pivotal art events of the 20th century. This collection spans his career, including his work depicting the American southwest.

June 14 - October 2008
Glistening strands of sculpted hot glue resembling drizzled icicles cascade 20 feet from the ceiling enveloping the viewer in a web-like room.
Catherine Chalmers: American Cockroach
July 12 - November 9, 2008
Chalmers offers up an ecosystem where laws of roach life and survival become strange and distorted human manifestations.
