Saturday Road Closures Near Campus:

Capital Blvd will be closed from 8:30am to 10:30am on Saturday September 20th, for a community event. Other streets in Boise, including parts of downtown Boise, will also be closed during parts of the day. For a complete list of road closures go to:

Students are encourage to use alternate routes that avoid downtown when traveling to and from campus Saturday morning.

2008 Bra Project Call For Artists!

The BSU Women's Center is calling for submissions for the fifth annual Bra Project art auction. This fundraiser benefits breast cancer awareness, prevention, and research organizations.

Features of the event include local musicians, a silent auction, and a live auction of artistic representations of bras.

Bras may be made of any material and may be wearable or not. All submissions are donations to the auction and are due by October 13th.

Women Making History Nominations Due September 29th!

We are looking for those extraordinary stories of women who challenge sexist stereotypes and norms, work/advocate for equality within institutions (law, health care, education, etc.), role model healthy self-esteem and self-worth, break ground in traditionally male dominated fields (sports, engineering, politics, etc.), or challenge other forms of oppression (racism, ageism, etc.)

If you know of a woman you think should be honored for her contributions to Idaho, please nominate her today. You can pick up a nomination form at the Women's Center or go online at womenscenter.boisestate.edu to nominate someone. All nominations need to be turned in by the submission deadline of September 29, 2008 by 5:00 p.m.

Herbs are the most captivating and versatile of plants. They are not only ornamental, yet historically are nearly endless for culinary, medicinal, and cosmetic purposes. In this basic herbology class, participants will identify local herbs, explore their helpful properties and discover ways to cultivate and use them. May you be inspired to welcome herbs into your way of living!
