Attention: Bicyclists, Skateboarders, and Pedestrians |
 |
How can riding a bike, skateboard or walking on campus be safer and more user-friendly?
Should there be separate paths for different types of transit modes, such as walking paths and bike paths? Should wheeled devices such as skateboards and bikes be limited in congested areas on campus or campus "dismount zones"? What existing paths should be widened? Do we need more paths? Where do we need more bike racks or bike lockers?
Boise State University will be developing a master plan for pedestrian and bicycle (and other wheeled devices) traffic on campus that should address many of these questions. We are interested in hearing your concerns and ideas to improve the bicycle and pedestrian experience on campus. On Friday, February 27th, there will be a public information session where we will discuss some preliminary findings of our study and solicit input. The results of this plan will assist in the priority of physical improvements to the campus and policies, that pertain to intra-campus transit.
What: Public Information Session: Bicycle and Pedestrian Traffic on Campus
Where: Lookout Room (3rd floor, Student Union)
When: Friday, February 27th, 1:00-2:00pm
Why: Help make bicycle and pedestrian traffic on campus safer and more user-friendly
If you are unable to attend but would like to submit comments, please e-mail jeverett@boisestate.edu or call Jared Everett (208) 426-2090.
