Student Union Expansion Update |
 |
The Student Union Expansion is on schedule and in its final phase!!!
The second floor corridors are now open providing more convenient access
to the new ballroom, student organization offices, ASBSU Senate and the new
Campus Services, University Dining and Student Union Administrative suites.
Three new meeting rooms and the new ASBSU Executive suite will be done
at the end of June 2009.
Remodel work in the existing Student Union Connector (which is the home
for the Cultural Center, Student Activities, Marketing & Promotions, and
Student Programs Board) will begin May 18th.
The corridor that connects the Student Union to the Special Events Center
will be closed for the summer and re-open August 10, 2009.
The Women's Center will be moving into the Student Union August 10, 2009.
From start to finish, our number one goal is to minimize the time we have to close any area while maintaining access and convenience for student, staff, and guests. The Student Union will continue to provide a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for programs and services through all phases of construction.
The total project is planned from May 21, 2007 to August 7, 2009. Please feel free at any time to contact Linda Hamson or myself for questions, issues, or concerns regarding the expansion at (208) 426-5800.
Thank you,
Jack Rahmann

SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM KENNY -
"It seems like it's time to get this thing started again," Chesney says with a broad smile. "By the time we're done, I'm tired... but I'm never ready to be done. And after a few months off, all I can think of is when are we getting back out there! For me, I swear we have so many friends that we see when we look out every night ... to be able to get out there and rock with them, well, it's the reason me and the guys do this! I'm ready to move from the renderings to getting back into rehearsal, back into shape, back into making music and especially back to being out there with the fans."

HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE AS PART OF A PRE-SALE:
Go to www.idahotickets.com homepage before the day an event goes on sale and select "My Account." We strongly encourage ticket buyers to set-up and manage their accounts before tickets go on sale. "My Account" tab will allow a ticket buyer to set up a new account or manage an existing account.
You have an existing account if you have ever purchased tickets at www.idahotickets.com. If you don't know the password or never set one, you’ll want it reset it by clicking on the "Forgot my Password or ID", which is located under the "My Account" tab. Now that you're ready:
- Go to www.idahotickets.com/pre-sale
- Enter the promotion code. Promotion codes are case sensitive.
- Select the required number of tickets. Please note there may be ticket limits.
- You can have the system select the "Best Available" seats, or you can choose a specific seating section. We advise choosing "Best Available" and allowing the system to select seats. Selecting sections yourself is a longer process and could result in delays in getting seats reserved in your cart.
- Click "Best Available" or "Price Range".
- If "Best Available" was selected then the system will identify the available seats for the quantity of seats selected. Please note floor seating will always be sold first.
- If "Price Range" was selected, then you must choose the desired price from the drop down "Price Level" menu.
- Click "View Map" for information on seating. Under "Section", click "Best Available" or select the desired seating section from the "Section" drop down menu.
- Select "Continue" and follow the remaining prompts.
Once you select your tickets and navigate through the password screen, your tickets will be added to your "cart", and a transaction timer will start. If too much time lapses between screens/transactions, your cart will expire and your tickets will be released. Being prepared beforehand is the key to success. Have your credit card information and the mailing address for that card on hand before you start the process.
Review your ticket summary. If acceptable, click "continue" and you will be advanced to the account information page. Log into your pre-established account and password and follow the remaining prompts to select a method of delivery and process payment.

Hollywood director Donald Petrie will be in Boise on May 21 for an advanced screening of his movie, "My Life in Ruins," at the Egyptian Theatre. Petrie will talk about his new romantic comedy and share his moviemaking knowledge to benefit The Story Initiative, a new project of Boise State University.

In the film, Vardalos plays a novice tour guide in Greece, shepherding a group of American tourists, including a capricious Dreyfuss. Fox Searchlight Pictures is making the film available to Boise State.
Tickets for the Boise event are available at the Egyptian Theatre, 700 W. Main Street, (208) 387-1273. Showtime is 7 p.m. Petrie will participate in a question and answer session after the movie.
