Boise State Named Among Top Up-and-Coming Schools |
 |
Boise State University was ranked among the nation's and the West's "top up-and-coming schools" in U.S. News and World Report's annual "America’s Best Colleges" issue.
Released August 20, the magazine ranked Boise State No. 3 in the western division of its "Keep an Eye on These Schools" list for master's degree institutions. In all, just 77 "colleges and universities that have recently made striking improvements or innovations," including national universities and liberal arts colleges from across the country, made the list.
Colleges and universities included in the rankings "were singled out as schools that have recently made the most promising and innovative changes in academics, faculty, students, campus or facilities," the magazine said. Rankings were based on the responses of experts who answered the magazine's annual peer assessment survey.
"This newest distinction based on academic quality confirms our progress as a university of choice for talented students across the West." said Bob Kustra, president of Boise State.
