The AAR offers improved functionality, such as the option to add classes directly from the AAR into your planner and shopping cart, the ability to view class details from the AAR, etc. Please see the Registrar's Office website (registrar.boisestate.edu/aar-faqs.shtml) for FAQs and documentation.

Boise State Launches New Intersession Term

Boise State University will offer its first ever Intersession term between fall and spring semesters.

The condensed term will offer 25 different classes ranging from one-credit workshops to three-credit upper-division and graduate classes. Students will begin registering for intersession courses on October 26, at the same time they sign up for spring semester.

The three-credit classes begin December 21-23, take a week off for the holidays, then meet again weekdays January 4-15. Each class runs about three hours per day for 13 days, with extensive assignments outside of class. A few courses are offered online. One-and two-credit courses have a different class schedule.

On transcripts and other records, credits earned during Intersession count as part of the spring semester. However, the cost of Intersession courses is separate from spring semester. Undergraduate classes during Intersession cost $236 per credit hour and graduate classes $285 per credit hour. These costs are in addition to whatever spring classes students register for. Financial Aid is available.

For more information and a list of classes, visit www.boisestate.edu/summer and click on the Intersession link.

7th Annual Galing Galing

The theme of the show is: "Motown Showcase."

The 7th annual Galing Galing event is the last to incorporate the Filipino tradition and is now focusing towards bringing awareness of the other cultures, providing a place where students can celebrate their differences, making new friends, and becoming a part of the overall community of Boise State University. Part of the proceeds will go to Bantay Bata 163 Foundation Rescue Relief for the “Ondoy” Tropical Storm in the Philippines that recently forced thousands out of their homes and created a virtual lake.

Date: October 17, Saturday
Show time: 6:00pm
Location: Special Events Center (1st floor, Student Union)
Buffet will be served after the show: 7:00pm, Jordan Ballroom (2nd floor, Student Union)

$ 3.00 Students with ID
$10.00 General Admission
5 years old and under are free
Tickets are available at the door or by calling the Cultural Center at (208) 426-5950.

Parking is FREE: Lincoln Garage in any space that is not designated by a sign. Attendees need to enter their space number to the payment machine, select that they will pay by the hour, and then will need to enter the coupon code for FREE parking. Coupon code is: 09000063

This year Galing Galing highlights a vibrant culture featuring the Filipino culture, demonstrating traditional Filipino Tinikling, the national Philippine dance, which "imitates the movement of the Tikling birds as they walk between grass stems, run over tree branches, or dodge bamboo traps set by rice farmers." Two dancers skillfully moved together while seamlessly dancing between two bamboo poles. This modern routine is to add spice in the repertoire and the music "Bebot" by Black Eyed Peas, and it is a form of modern tinikling.

Because the BARCADA (Boise American Relations Club and Diversity Association) is a diverse group, the Motown Showcase will be performed by your favorite Administrators, Staff, and Faculty. This year Galing Galing is the continuance of "We are all one."

Galing Galing brings together a small-scattered number of cultures from around the world. It blends rap music with multi-cultural Karaoke and disco music. BARCADA’s intention is that we are all one.
