Veterans Day Celebration

Veterans Day Celebration:
"Honoring Our Veterans for their Service to our Country"

When: Wednesday November 11, 2009
Time: 12pm - 1:30pm
Where: Northeast side of the Student Union in front of the Veterans Memorial
Cost: FREE

In honor of our country's veterans, we've planned a tribute to celebrate our country's servicemen and women. This event will take place at noon on the NE side of the Student Union Building, were artist Kay Kirkpatrick designed and created a metal and stone sculpture titled "Salute", which features the silhouette of a soldier saluting. Speaking at the event will be student veterans, university officials, and veterans of the Treasure Valley community. There will also be a small reception immediately following in Student Union Atrium.

All veterans are encouraged to stop by the Student Involvement and Leadership Center front desk (located in the Student Union Building, 1st floor) for a red, white and blue ribbon. We ask that you wear the ribbon on Wednesday, November 11th, so that members of the campus, as well as the community, can identify you as a veteran who has served our country.
