Faculty Partner Award Program
The Student Affairs Faculty Partner Award is in its fifth year of recognizing outstanding faculty members who serve as positive role models, showing their commitment to the shared values of acadmic excellence, caring, citizenship, fairness, respect, responsibility and trustworthiness while providing support and service to students beyond classroom teaching or research responsibilities. This award also reinforces the important role faculty play in engaging our students outside the classroom, and providing students with opportunities to experience meaningful intellectual and social connections with each other and the broader Boise State University community. Past recipients of this award include:
- 2008 Outstanding Recipients: Lisa Bostaph and Roger Munger
- 2007 Outstanding Recipient: Ross Burkhart
- 2006 Outstanding Recipient: Alicia Garza
- 2005 Outstanding Recipients: Rob Anson, Craig Hemmens, Caile Spear
Past recipients of this award are ineligible for nomination.
Criteria for Selection
Your nominee must be an official faculty member who you feel:- has significant involvement providing support and service to students outside the classroom and
- is helping to advance the mission of the Division of Student Affairs.
Our Mission: The role of Student Affairs is to promote student success; enhance student growth and development; and assist in developing an institutional climate that promotes intellectual inquiry, celebrates diversity, and promotes acts of civility
Faculty involvement outside the classroom might be demonstrated through excellence in advising student organizations, active involvement in and support of student activities, exemplary service on boards or committees dedicated to providing services to students, significant involvement in student recruitment or new student orientation activities, or contributions to research within our departments
Submission Requirements
Submission Deadline: Friday, November 6, 2009
Please submit a 1-2 page letter of recommendation using the on-line nomination form, where you can attach a document or enter directly on the form. Questions about the on-line process should be directed to Stephanie Neighbors at 426-1418.
The Faculty Partner Award recipients will be announced at a reception
Thursday, November 19th at 5:30pm
