Two students sit on a couch in the Student Union Building and chat about mid-terms.

[Student 1]  So I’m a little worried about midterms but yeah, you know I’ll study.

A ringing sound alerts their attention to the table where a Buster Bronco bobble head is sitting.

[Student 1] Hey Buster!

[ Buster Bronco nods ]

[Student 2] I know, we need to register for classes.

[ Buster Bronco continues to nod ]

[Student 1] What do you mean I need to meet with an advisor first?

[ Buster Bronco nods ]

[Student 2] Okay, so we need to check our student center for advisor contact information make an appointment and then our advisor will lift our registration hold so we can register for classes on time!

[ Buster Bronco nods ]

[Student 1] Thanks Buster!

Another ringing alert and the Buster Bronco bobble head appears on the B Statue in B Plaza. An advisor stands in front of the statue.

[Advisor] If you are a first semester student at Boise State a freshman, transfer, or returning student you may have noticed the advising required notification when you log on to your student center. This means that before you can register for next semester’s classes you’ll need to meet with an academic advisor.

Bring questions when you meet with your advisor. Maybe you’ve discovered something about yourself or about your program and you want to consider adding a minor.

Maybe you’ve discovered a completely new field of study that you wish to pursue by changing your major.

Your academic advisor will help you design a plan to get the most out of your Boise State experience.

We look forward to meeting with you!
