How to Make the Most of Bronco Day

What is Bronco Day?

You won’t want to miss the biggest recruitment day of the year on November 8, 2025! At Bronco Day, you’ll get to meet current students and professors, go on a self-guided tour, find out what scholarships are available and explore all the programs and colleges that Boise State has to offer. See what it’s like to be a Bronco for a day!

Tips to have the best Bronco Day:

1) Get Here Early

Arriving early will not only make for easier parking but will also give you plenty of time to get your check-in materials, get your bearings and plan your day of exploration! Check In opens up at 8:30 a.m. at the Rec Center before a “choose-your-own-adventure” day of discovery kicking off with “Life as a Bronco”. Plus, Blue Thunder Marching Band will be performing at check-in around 9 a.m.!

2) Take Advantage of Photo Ops

Check out the campus map where you can find our photo opportunity guide, a layer on the campus map calling out all of the best spots to snap a selfie! There will also be yard signs around campus pointing them out. Touch the Turf at Albertsons Stadium is the biggest photo op event of Bronco Day and you’ll get a special digital souvenir from that, but you can take your own photos along the way.

Also, be sure to use the hashtag #BroncoDay to participate in our social media giveaway–more details to come, so keep your eyes out on our @BoiseStateAdmissions Instagram channel to learn more!

3) Explore Boise!

Especially if you’re from out-of town, plan to take some time to get to know Idaho’s capital city! Downtown Boise is just a short walk over Friendship Bridge and adventure awaits around every corner.

We will have snacks available on site all day but if you’re looking for lunch after Bronco Day events, head over and check out the many great dining options!

4) Plan Your Stops in Advance

There’s a lot to cover in one day! Take some time to plan ahead to make sure you know which academic units and info spots you don’t want to miss out on. Check out the full schedule ahead of time and cater your day according to your own interests.

5) Touch the Turf + Closing Session

Visit THE BLUE, Boise State’s Famous Blue Turf, open all morning for photo ops, yard games and giveaways. Plus, don’t miss a high energy send off at Albertsons Stadium, starting at noon the Spirit Squad will be closing out the day with Blue and Orange flare. We can’t wait to meet you, Future Broncos!
