Bronco Day Schedule

Bronco Day will kick-off at the Morrison Center, where you and your peers will be divided into groups to explore the Academics and Opportunities fairs, info sessions, drop-in events and tours. The day will end with an optional ‘Choose your own adventure’ portion featuring a ‘Touch the Blue Turf’ experience at Albertsons Stadium. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

9:45-12:00 p.m. | Opportunities Fair, Academic Fair, and Admissions Sessions

You and other guests will be split into two groups that will take turns at each event. While one group heads to Academic Fair and Opportunities Fair on the Quad to meet with academic colleges and explore student life and support resources, the other will participate in their preferred Admissions Session. The following Admissions Sessions start at 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in the Student Union Building where snacks and refreshments will be available.

For High School Seniors
Whether you’ve already been admitted, still need to apply, or are eagerly waiting to hear back, this session will guide you through the important next steps towards becoming a proud Bronco in Fall 2024. Our team will cover the application process, financial aid options, student life, and important dates. Don’t miss this opportunity to look forward to the road ahead and take significant strides towards your exciting future as a Bronco!

From 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. you get to Choose Your Own Adventure and explore a selection of sessions hosted by each school and college within Boise State University. Most sessions run from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please note some sessions end at 1:00 p.m.

Explore Albertsons Library

Check out Albertsons Library during Bronco Day. Centrally located, this is one of the busiest spots on campus, where research and creative activity thrive. Discover MakerLab technology, like lasers, 3D printing, and more, explore the sound and video production studios, learn through library exhibits and university archives, develop research expertise from reference librarians, and drop into the Bronco Learning Commons, a collaborative space that supports student success.

Games, Interactive Media and Mobile Technology Open House

Come try AV/VR with GIMM students! Learn about the degree and the amazing project students are creating. The GIMM program prepares students to create the experiences that manage the technology in our work and personal lives. Routinely professionals interact with online tutorials, websites, tablets, smart phones, and video streaming. The GIMM major provides students with the skills to execute work in all of these areas. Come meet students and amazing faculty!

Take tours of the building and interact with faculty, staff, and some of our current students to learn about COBE and the experience of education in COBE. The Micron Business and Economics Building (MBEB) is a key location for all business students and has many great features, from the Jackson’s Commons on the first floor, to the interactive team rooms, the trading room with Bloomberg terminals, and our classrooms.

12:30-1:00 P.M. | Sample Seminar- Executive Time Management

Join Bill Wynne, COBE’s Director of Undergraduate Studies and award-winning member of the Marketing faculty for his Executive Time Management seminar. This seminar will give you new time-management skills to achieve your goals while maintaining your personal balance along the way. The seminar itself will last approximately 20 minutes and there will be a short Q&A period following.

Bill is a former Fortune 500 executive leader who brings over 30 years of career experience to COBE having led teams at the Ford Motor Company and most recently at Con-way Freight as their VP of Marketing.

Find Your Career in the Science of Medical Imaging

Come talk with students and faculty about the exciting careers and opportunities available to you in medical imaging. View sample medical images, touch model body parts that students use to practice positioning and imaging, and learn about this constantly evolving field. Boise State offers programs in diagnostic radiography, MRI, sonography, computed tomography, interventional radiology and cardiac intervention.

The respiratory system moves air and blood through the heart and lungs. Interested in a highly specialized medical career with lots of opportunities after graduation? Stop by to talk with our team about the nationally recognized Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Care program and how Respiratory Therapists work to help patients breathe easier.

Meet current students to learn about their experiences with the School of Public and Population Health, spin the public health trivia wheel to win prizes and see what it’s like to be an SPPH student. BroncoNurse Simulation Immersion

From high tech manikins to virtual healthcare, discover the world of simulation education in the School of Nursing. Tour our state-of-the-art facilities where nursing students practice clinical care and hone their communication skills with a variety of manikins and patient actors that represent the diverse stories of real Idaho patients. Visit with faculty and staff, and ask your burning questions along the way.

Human Performance Lab Demonstration

Tour the Kinesiology Human Performance Lab. Kinesiology students and faculty will be demonstrating some of the equipment in the Human Performance Lab, which is an exercise science teaching, research and service lab. Visit with students about what it’s like to be a Kinesiology major and learn about different types of exercise tests that we do in the lab and in our discipline.

Onramp Program Interactive Showcase

The Onramp program integrates coding into the K-12 grade levels, using the Everyone Can Code curriculum. Come try some new technology with us! Teachers and students identify and propose technology-based solutions to community challenges. Onramp is a unique partnership between three Idaho organizations (Boise State, CWI, and IDLA) and Apple.

The Dean of the Honors College will introduce the Honors College mission, requirements, and application process. 

Current Honors students will then share their experiences about their involvement in the Honors community including leadership positions, research opportunities, volunteerism, and Honors coursework.

Military Science ROTC Open House

The Military Science/ ROTC Program Open House will allow you to visit with current students/cadets and instructors. We will have students from various disciplines across campus showcase all of the amazing possibilities that our ROTC program has to offer!

Ever wanted to see and touch Boise State’s famous blue turf? Discover how our iconic blue turf became a symbol of innovation in our community at one of Idaho’s most popular selfie spots, Albertsons Stadium. You’ll have the opportunity to take photos, connect with current students and explore the home of our Bronco football team.
