Deciding where to go to college can be overwhelming! We know first-hand how important a campus visit can be when choosing your home for the next four years. With your safety in mind, we have created an in-person campus visit experience for you to physically explore campus while engaging with a current Boise State student.

Guided Campus Tour

Our campus runs along the banks of the Boise River, just a quick walk from the heart of Idahoā€™s largest city. Join us for a 90-minute walking tour of campus where your tour guide will detail life as a Bronco. From popular study spaces, to residence halls, to involvement opportunities and beyond, you will get an inside look at the Boise State experience.Ā

Come Prepared

  • Check the weather, bring a bottle of water, wear sunscreen, and lace up your comfiest walking shoes.
  • You will be able to park in the Lincoln Parking Garage free of charge. Parking instructions will be included in your confirmation email.
  • Arrive on time. Allow yourself plenty of time to park and navigate to Admissions.
  • Check-in will take place outside of the Admissions Office which is located in the Student Union Building. We ask that you do not enter the Student Union Building upon arrival, and instead follow the signs to our check-in station. Look for the Boise State pop up ā€œBā€ sign!

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I start my campus visit?

Check in for your campus tour outside of Admissions on the west side of the Student Union Building along University Drive. There will be navigational signage from Lincoln Parking Garage to help you find your way.

Where do I park when I visit campus?

We provide FREE parking in the Lincoln Garage, due south of the Student Union Building. Parking instructions are included in your confirmation email. If you choose to park elsewhere, you are responsible for parking costs.

How do I get to Boise State University?

Boise State is located between Broadway Avenue and Capitol Boulevard, just a short distance from Interstate 84. The Broadway and Vista exits are closest to campus. Several major airlines serve the Boise area including Alaska, Delta, Frontier, Horizon, Southwest and United.

Can I tour the residence halls?

Boise State is excited to welcome over 10,000 visitors to campus each year! To minimize disruptions and to respect the privacy of our students, tour groups are unable to go inside residence halls. We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to check out our Housing and Residence Life website for pictures, videos, and information regarding your Residence Hall options.

Can I make arrangements to stay on campus overnight?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate overnight guests.

What if I am experiencing one or more of the symptoms of COVID-19?

If you have experienced any symptoms of COVID-19, you will not be able to participate in the campus tour. If you experience symptoms prior to arrival, we encourage you to reschedule or join one of our virtual visit options.

Will Boise State be holding any in-person classes this fall?

Yes! This fall the university will offer a blend of in-person, online, remote and hybrid courses. For more information, visit our Covid Response page.

Will I be able to meet with an Admissions Counselor, the Honors College or a representative from my academic area of interest?

Yes! You are able to set up a virtual appointment with your admissions counselor or a representative from your academic area of interest either virtually or in-person. The Honors College will also be hosting virtual info sessions throughout the week. You can schedule these appointments at any time, they do not need to be for the day of your visit.

Do you offer any virtual visits?

Yes! We have created virtual visit options designed to meet your needs. From the Future Student Session, to Tips for Transfers, to PresentaciĆ³n de Boise State en EspaƱol, you are bound to find what you need to get your questions answered and better understand the culture that exists at Boise State.

Will I be able to see the Blue Turf at Albertsons Stadium?

While on your campus tour, we will be able to take you to Albertson’s Stadium and inside the Allen Noble Hall of Fame which has access to see the famous Blue!
