Audrey has fostered a sense of belonging and inspired enthusiasm among her peers, while her intellectual curiosity and tenacity in the pursuit of knowledge have led to a diverse range of research and academic experiences while at Boise State University. The summer after her first year, Audrey began conducting research in the Boise State Surface Science Laboratory, where she has supported more than 20 projects ranging from biofuel characterization for sustainable energy to nanomagnetic imaging for improved electronic data storage.

Her prolific and varied activities earned her a spot in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Summer Research Program in the summer of 2021. While at MIT, she joined a global network of researchers dedicated to environmental sustainability, and she conducted research into strategies for greenhouse gas removal. Her efforts at both Boise State and MIT led her to receive significant recognition, including being named the Boise State Top Materials Science Student, and earn fellowships from both the Higher Education Research Council and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society.

Audrey has a parallel passion for making STEM as inclusive and diverse as possible through targeted outreach, private funding, and empowering organizations. While at Boise State, she streamlined the endowment of the Students Helping Students scholarship, raising more than $12,000 for equitable access to higher education; coordinated Bronco Giving Day events to raise money for scholarships and student organizations; and led events for the Science and Engineering Festival, engaging with thousands of community members to raise awareness and spark their interest in STEM.

Audrey is from Boise, Idaho.
