Degree: Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies (criminal justice, anthropology, psychology) and a minor in creative writing – poetry
Future Plans: Work as a private investigator while receiving an education in forensic and criminal justice. Pursue a career at the federal level in the intelligence community to address high-profile criminal activity.

In her time at Boise State, Brianna Ellison has taken part in much of what makes this university great, from conducting real research and leadership opportunities to mentorship access. She is a passionate student leader committed to creating positive change in the world.
She has obtained research grants and a fellowship with Idaho’s IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence and worked in human subjects research studying herbicide exposure to pregnant women. She has showcased her work at numerous conferences, and acted as a plenary speaker at two events. She has also worked with the Ada County Coroner’s Office and MS Recoveries and Investigations to help bring truth and fairness to the criminal justice system.
As president of Boise State’s speech and debate team, Brianna has developed and used her exceptional leadership skills, cultivating a culture of teamwork and belonging.
Brianna is from Eagle, Idaho.

Presented by the Boise State Alumni Association and Boise State Honors College, the Top Ten Scholar Award is one of the highest academic honors granted to a Boise State University undergraduate student.
