Emma Cameron’s passion for off-road culture began when she was young, working in the garage with her father. This year, she will graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering, and will be on her way to a career in the off-road industry.
Through internships and networking at automotive conventions, Emma has raced to excellence. Her first internship was in the Gear Lab at Dana Incorporated, where she learned manufacturing design and solved problems with fixturing parts to be measured. During her second internship at 4 Wheel Parts, she designed and fabricated a cargo solution for Ford F-150 pickups. She currently interns at Smokeguard Inc., developing a prototype for a fire-rated curtain vision panel.
A scholarship recipient at the Specialty Equipment Market Association conventions in 2019 and ’21, Emma has developed strong relationships with industry leaders, and at her most recent visit, she was chosen as a top student and given an opportunity to become a member of the Truck and Off-Road Alliance.
On campus, Emma has served as the president of the Phi Sigma Rho STEM sorority for three semesters, and promoted an inclusive and welcoming environment for women in STEM. As president, she planned retreats, attended virtual national conferences, and created the chapter’s first Orchid Ball.
Emma is from Escondido, California.
