Biography
Ethan Mariner has distinguished himself as a student leader through measurable impact in governance, research and campus leadership. He began his leadership journey within the Interfraternity Council (IFC), where he served as president, overseeing 11 fraternities and more than 1,000 members. During his tenure, he rewrote IFC bylaws to strengthen accountability and risk management, brought a keynote speaker on leadership and ethics to campus and increased recruitment turnout and membership through targeted outreach.
Mariner later transitioned into the Associated Students of Boise State University, where he has served as associate vice president of academic affairs, associate vice president of student relations, and now vice president. In these roles, he has overseen legislative operations, contributed to university governance as a student representative in the Faculty Senate and spearheaded a $25,000 campus quad infrastructure project that expanded student engagement and event capacity.
In addition to his leadership, Mariner has maintained a 3.96 GPA while serving as vice president of finance for Beta Gamma Sigma, grand scribe of Kappa Sigma and numerous other organizations around campus. As an IFITS Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Scholar and the only non-STEM major selected in his cohort, he published research in the Idaho Business Review examining financial institutions and consumer outcomes. Following graduation, he will begin his career in deals consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mariner is from Alpharetta, Georgia.
