Graduates of the spring class of 2020, their loved ones and supporters, are cordially invited to attend a virtual commencement celebration at 10 a.m. mountain time on Saturday, May 9.
In all, 2,785 of you are eligible for 3,232 degrees and certificates, with 783 students eligible for honors; 389 cum laude, 311 magna cum laude and 85 summa cum laude.
This history-making ceremony will feature Boise State President Dr. Marlene Tromp, student speaker Tyler Chapman, remarks from leaders in each college, and some fun surprises.
Tyler Chapman, from Hagerman, Idaho, is graduating with dual bachelor’s degrees in business administration and Games, Interactive Media and Mobile. He will represent and address his fellow graduating class.
While the Bronco community is unexpectedly dispersed around the globe and digitally connected now more than ever, we ask for contributions to the virtual celebration, from wherever our Broncos may be!
Share graduation-themed photos and videos on social media with the official graduation hashtag: #BoiseStateGrad. A wonderful Boise State tradition we are excited to keep alive is showcasing commencement shout-out videos. Graduates are encouraged to upload short shout-out videos to thank family, friends, faculty and others who have helped them in their academic journeys. Shout-outs will be shown during the virtual ceremony, on social media, and at boisestate.edu/commencement.
Please remember, we are also planning an in-person ceremony in December for those of you who wish to participate. Student speaker Chloe Pampush, who is earning a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and a minor in German, will represent the class of 2020 at this celebration.
We hope you will join us on May 9 to celebrate the achievements and resilience of the graduating spring class of 2020 Broncos.
