Get an exclusive sneak peek into the virtual reality technology and art content that will be in the World Museum in Boise State’s new Center for Visual Arts, opening fall 2019. Steve Cutchin, Director of the Computer Science Visualization Lab will discuss the role of virtual reality in creating immersive environments at the intersection of technology and art. The World Museum will allow students of all ages and citizens to experience cultural sites and public art from around the world.

Steve Cutchin, Ph.D. joined Boise State in 2013. He previously managed the KAUST Visualization Laboratory Core Facility and the Supercomputer Facility at King Abdullah’s University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia and also worked as a Sr. software engineer at Walt Disney Feature Animation where he developed software tools to improve animation production on feature films. He received his doctorate in computer science from Purdue University.
