BS Anthropology Degree Checklist
You may take any of the approved Foundations math classes. They are MATH 123 Quantitative Reasoning, MATH 143 College Algebra, MATH 160 Survey of Calculus, MATH 170 Calculus 1, MATH 254 Applied Statistics with Computers, and MATH 257 Geometry and Probability for Teachers.
You are required to take either MATH 254 Applied Statistics with Computers, POLS 298 Introduction to Political Inquiry or PSYCH 295 Statistical Methods. (SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT: If you take MATH 254 you also fulfill the anthropology major’s math requirement, and this would free you up to take another elective course.) SOC 310 Elementary Social Statistics will be accepted with an Adjustment in Academic Requirements form.
2nd Degree in Anthropology
The second degree in anthropology is designed for those students who have already graduated with a degree in another discipline and are returning to get a second degree in anthropology. Thirty additional credits in anthropology are required. This degree assumes that you have already fulfilled the university foundations requirements. You will need to meet with the Anthropology Department Chair to create a 2nd degree checklist specific to you.
