Taylor Merchant
Taylor Ann Merchant began her fine art journey at the New Hampshire Institute of art in Manchester, New Hampshire and transferred to Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina where she graduated in 2018 with her BFA. Excited for her next step in pursuing her dreams of attending graduate school, she had no idea the sudden turn her life would take when she learned she was experiencing kidney failure. These next four years would prove trying to her and her family, putting her life on hold, but one thing worth noting: she never stopped painting. Now she is back stronger than ever, not only surviving, but thriving! Her current studio practice is all about love, life, and new beginnings and incorporating meditation and wellness practices into her painting process.
