Each student assembly member represents a different student population on Boise State’s campus.

  • Hali Higgins

    Athletics Representative

    Hali is an Idaho native who grew up in Nampa, Idaho! She is a senior majoring in Psychology and Minoring in Criminal Justice. Her ultimate career goal is to attend law school and become an advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. She currently serves as the Secretary for the Boise State Pre-Law Society. In her free time, Hali enjoys dancing, weight lifting, and doing yoga!

  • Kalista Barkley

    Commuter Student Representative

    Kalista Barkley is new to ASBSU and is a junior majoring in Psychology, minoring in Criminal Justice and will be attending law school after graduation. She hopes to be a voice for all students and also stand up for those who are less fortunate financially. Some of her hobbies include painting, skiing, discussing politics, and cooking.

  • Sebastian Griffin

    Differing Ability Representative

    Sebastian is a fifth-generation Idahoan, was raised and lives in Nampa, Idaho. Sebastian’s current major is Political Science with an emphasis on American Government and Public Policy. He is most excited to bring a unique perspective to the ASBSU team. He and his wife, Macy, enjoy traveling the world, and bringing their Mini Goldendoodle, Indy, along for the ride!

    First-Year Representative

  • Emily Fisk (She/Her/Hers)

    IESC Student Representative

    Emily Fisk began her career in marketing after graduating from Boise State University with her B.A. in English in 2014. She currently serves as a student representative on the IESC and is pursuing her master’s in public administration from Boise State. Emily is excited to continue being an active member of the Boise State community in her role as a student representative. When she’s not working or in class, Emily loves digging into a good book, cooking a delicious meal, and getting outside with her two daughters and husband. She is a founding member of a (totally cool, not at all nerdy) writing group.

  • David Lund (He/Him/His)

    IESC Student Representative

    David Lund is a sophomore at Boise State, studying Political Science. He works as a nonprofit strategist and consultant. In addition, he is director of Reentry Idaho, a nonprofit which helps formerly incarcerated people with substance use disorder make a successful transition to the community after their release. David is an aspiring podcaster, entrepreneur, and future candidate for office. He is from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where he lives today with his husband, Kyle, and their 9-year-old daughter Arieonna. David hopes to bring his experience and perspective to student government to passionately advocate for marginalized students on and off campus.

    On-Campus Employee Representative

    William Farkas is currently a first-year seeking a BA in Communication at Boise State. Will is previously from Wallace, ID in the northern panhandle of the state. This is his first semester as a part of ASBSU and he is very excited to learn more about promoting positive change within the school and campus of Boise State. In his free time, Will enjoys playing sports, skiing, adventuring with friends, drawing, and being a little too intense of a sports fan.

    On-Campus Housing Representative

    Adam Jones is a sophomore student studying Political Science with a minor in Economics. He currently serves as the On-Campus Housing Representative in the ASBSU General Assembly. In this position, Adam is committed to improving the collegiate experience of all students who live on-campus and encourages students to reach out to him if they have an issue that they want to be addressed. When he is not in school, Adam likes to talk politics, go fishing, and cheer on the Dallas Cowboys.

  • Saul Dean Ruiz (He/Him/His)

    Veterans Representative

    Saul will be graduating this Spring with a major in Health Informatics and Information Management, a minor in Information Technology Management, and a certificate in Business Analytics. Saul served in the U.S. Air Force for ten years prior to coming to BSU. He is excited to be a member of the ASBSU Assembly as a Veteran Representative. He has chosen to spend his first term working in the Sustainability Committee and Ethics Committee. Off-campus, Saul works as a medical assistant for St. Luke’s and has an internship with Blue Cross of Idaho as a Data Reporting Specialist.

    Brandy Hall (She/Her/Hers)

    Brandy grew up in Northwest Arkansas and is in her second year of a Masters’s program in Social Work. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Columbia College. She has spent the last 7 years in the social work field, holding various positions. Although her passion is her community, her life is her 5 year old daughter.
