Assembly Members

Each student assembly member represents a different student population on Boise State’s campus.

  • Katie Hettel

    First Year Representative

    First year representative Katie Hettel is majoring in psychology with a pre-med emphasis in hopes to one day become a psychiatrist. Originally from Washington and a first year at Boise State, Katie is excited to get involved in many different clubs and activities such as Greek Life and the Food Pantry Committee. In her free time, Katie loves to go on hikes and long walks, practice yoga, and spend time with friends.   • Alyia Adams

    First Year Representative

    General Assembly member Alyia Adams is a First-Year representative in ASBSU.  She is a Psychology major and plans on getting her masters in Occupational Therapy.  Alyia is a first-generation student from a rural town in northern Idaho so she is incredibly focused on her goals.  You can find her hanging out with friends or listening to music while walking the Greenbelt in her free time.  Alyia knows that being a Freshman in college can be a difficult transition, so feel free to reach out to her with any questions or concerns!

    I am majoring in political science and am currently undecided if I will go to law school after getting my bachelors degree. In my past time I like to go play golf, hangout with friends and watching the Seattle kraken play! My favorite music group is the beastie boys and favorite movie is Tommy Boy. A fun fact about me is that I have sang an Elvis Presley song on a cruise ship. Please feel free to reach out if you have and questions, comments or concerns.

    First Year Representative Cayden Stone is majoring in Political Science with a minor in sustainability. Cayden was born in Washington but has grown up most of his life in Idaho where he most recently served as ASB President of Lake City High School in Coeur d’ Alene. After college, Cayden hopes to attend Law School in DC and aspires to be a political aide before seeking public office. Cayden is also involved with the BSU “Corral” student section board and is a huge college basketball fan.     Logan Wagner is an ROTC cadet and is one of the top cadets in his class. Along with that, Logan is a Criminal Justice Major and is currently in his junior year. Logan is a great representative and a fantastic resource for on campus issues regarding veterans or military activity on campus.

    Representative Jake Broderius is a secondary education major with his emphasis in political science and history. Originally from Longview, Washington, Jake is a resident of Idaho who plans to use his degree to teach at a local Idaho school following graduation. Jake is very interested in sports, specifically baseball and football and loves to cheer on the Boise State Broncos any chance he gets. His hobbies include watching and playing team sports, dirt bike riding, snowboarding/skijoring, duck hunting, and hanging with friends.     Out of State Representative James Dockery is majoring in business administration. James is originally from sunny Southern California, and is currently a Freshman at Boise State University. After college James hopes to help others create their businesses by becoming a business developer and primarily working on business plans. In his free time, James enjoys floating the Boise River and strolling through downtown Boise.     Alex Nielsen is a Criminal Justice major with a minor in Spanish. Alex is originally from Pleasanton, California and is currently a Senior at Boise State. After college Alex hopes to start a profession in law enforcement and some day work in public administration. Alex is part of the Greek Life community on campus and loves being involved in the Executive Board of his fraternity. Alex also enjoys all things outside, such as camping and fly fishing.     Kelsie Zak is a Senior who will graduate in the spring with a Criminal Justice degree, Philosophy minor and Spanish certificate. She is from Washington State and has been in ASBSU since her sophomore year. Kelsie is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha and has served on their executive board. She is also a member of Lambda Alpha Epsilon and Pre-Law society. In her free time, Kelsie likes to go thrifting, walking and snowboarding.     Commuter Student Representative Isaac Celedon is a political science major with a minor in history. He was born and raised in Idaho and has lived in Boise for most of his life. He is a Freshman at Boise State University and is excited to become very active in his community. In his free time he enjoys watching horror movies, listening to any type of music. He also enjoys spending time with his friends, traveling, snowboarding, and likes to have civil conversations regarding most political subjects. He is also a Bronco Ambassador so if you ever want a tour or need help on finding a building, ask him if you see him in person. After college, Isaac hopes to go into law school and eventually become a politician in Idaho.

    Fun Fact: Isaac hasn’t had a sip of soda in 4 years, a similar fun fact to our ASBSU President Adam Jones…

Where she served as ASB secretary for Columbia High School. She loves hanging out with friends and family. She also loves being outdoors, especially paddle boarding during the summer. Originally from Orlando, Florida, Gabe found himself in Pocatello, ID, for many years until transferring to Boise State University to finish his degree. After graduating, Gabe plans on getting his Masters in Philosophy and getting his J.D. degree. In his free time, Gabe enjoys going for walks, spending time with family, and playing guitar.

After college, Stella plans on becoming an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher and attending Graduate School. During her free time, Stella enjoys playing instruments, traveling, doing volunteer community work, and hanging out with friends and family.
