We’re proud to highlight Dr. Konrad Meister, Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, was invited to give a lightning talk at Boise State’s TRANSFORM project kick-off, where he was recognized as a rising star in the College of Arts & Sciences. His team is pioneering work on fungal ice-nucleating proteins—safer, more stable alternatives to bacterial INPs—with potential applications in food science, cryopreservation, cloud seeding, and more. He also earned a second grant with Dr. Sophia Theodossiou to develop innovative silk microneedle patches for biologics delivery.
