ADVANCEMENT AT BOISE STATE

As the Associate Vice President for Advancement Services, you will provide strategic leadership for the University’s development and alumni relations infrastructure, utilize data-driven analytics to drive fundraising success, and be responsible for the strategic design, development and implementation of operational functions that support Advancement goals in fundraising and constituent engagement.

ADVANCEMENT is a term that encompasses several roles and functions that collectively promote the long-term sustainability and success of the university.

At Boise State, roles that fall into the Advancement category include fundraising, donor and alumni relations, data management, communications and marketing, and asset management.

FOUNDATION AND ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The Boise State Foundation, a separate 501(c)3 organization, serves as the financial portal for philanthropic giving to Boise State.

The Boise State Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors and operates with 12 staff who:

  • Receive and accept gifts on Boise State’s behalf
  • Establish and account for current and endowed gift funds
  • Administer and distribute gift funds
  • Steward Boise State gift assets by prudently managing and investing funds

The Boise State Alumni Association is a 501(c)3 organization that is funded in large part through membership. In partnership with Advancement, the Association works to achieve its mission through; membership, chapters and networks, student programs, advocacy, and special events.
