About Me

After graduating from Boise State University with my degree in chemistry I began work at Hibbs Analytical Laboratories and, later, Century Laboratories. The focus of my work was food, feed, and water analysis, which I did for a total of six years.

I returned to the Boise State Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry in 1992 as an adjunct lab instructor; then, became a Lecturer in 2003. The courses I taught included Chem 101, 102, 105, 111L, 112L, 301, 308, and 310.  In 2011 I moved into my current position as Manager, Student Support. I divide my time between advising chemistry majors, coordinating student support, scheduling courses, and community outreach. I am actively involved with Dr. Picklestein’s STEM outreach efforts to engage kids in STEM fields, from event scheduling to participation as Lady Argentum.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband at our cabin near Ketchum. I also enjoy fishing, and look forward to our salmon and halibut fishing trip to Canada each year. My other interests include gardening, sewing, and spending time with my grand-kids.
