Join educators, industry leaders, and athletes for a full-day symposium focused on building the of Sports Performance Major. This event is designed for campuses and organizations exploring how sport can serve as a rigorous and relevant field of academic study.

8:30–9:00 AM Check-in & Welcome Coffee
Gather, connect, and preview the day ahead.

9:00–10:30 AM Opening Conversations
Kickoff remarks and thought-provoking discussions about the value of sport in higher education, leadership lessons from sport, and the academic case for sports performance as a major.

10:30–10:45 AM  Break

10:45–12:15 PM  Employer Perspectives & Roundtable Discussions (Part 1)
Explore why companies value athletic experience. Join small-group conversations on launching, scaling, and sustaining Sports Performance Major programs.

12:15–1:30 PM Lunch & Blue Turf Visit
Enjoy lunch with participants and take an optional walk on Boise State’s iconic blue turf.

1:30–2:45 PM Athlete Voices & Campus Collaboration
Hear directly from student-athletes and campus leaders about how sport-based programs can shape student success and build cross-campus coalitions.
