Tandem Advising Model
Our tandem advising model gives students a more connected and well-rounded advising experience. In this model, students work with both professional advising staff and department support throughout their academic journey at Boise State.
Both the Academic Advisors and Department Liaisons collaborate to make sure students receive consistent and coordinated guidance. They share information, communicate about student needs, and ensure that academic and career conversations are aligned.
This partnership gives students access to both the breadth of institutional support and the depth of disciplinary expertise, creating a more seamless advising experience from the first semester through graduation.
