With nearly 40 College of Arts and Sciences emeriti faculty and staff members and their guests in attendance, Dean Tony Roark welcomed the emeriti group back to campus on Homecoming Saturday. The Dean’s office hosted the annual event during Homecoming week honoring and recognizing their work and service for the university and college.

This year’s emeriti group represented 12 of 16 College of Arts and Sciences departments and comprised of both faculty and staff. Provost Martin Schimpf was also in attendance.

The group shared a delicious lunch and reminisced about their time at Boise State. Both Dean Roark and Provost Schimpf gave updates on the university, talking about the new School of the Arts, the forecast growth of the university and more.

Dean Roark expressed gratitude for the valuable  contribution by the emeriti. “It is always wonderful to see so many familiar and important faces,” Roark said. “The College of Arts and Sciences thanks you for your service and support!”

Many emeriti also expressed appreciation for this annual event. Emeritus biology professor Dr. Russ Centanni shared, “It is a tribute to the College of Arts and Sciences that they hold this event every year. We are thankful to get this yearly opportunity to see our colleagues and be recognized by the university.”
