Lisa Brady, professor in the Department of History, will present a free talk on her book, “War upon the Land: Military Strategy and the Transformation of Southern Landscapes during the American Civil War,” at 6 p.m. (MST) on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Watkins Museum of History in Lawrence, Kansas. Will Haynes of the museum will interview Brady on the environmental history of the Civil War.
