Student Registration

1. You are expected to contact your mentor within 2 business days of being matched. If you are unable or unwilling to contact your mentor within this time frame, please notify COBE Career Services ASAP. No-shows are highly discouraged and will effect future participation in the program. 2. In your introduction explain your career goals/interests and request a time to meet or talk. You can agree to lunch, coffee, a phone call, video chat, etc. 3. Mentors are not obligated to offer employment opportunities, they are there to share career development insights and build professional connections. 4. You and your mentor must travel independently to a public setting for your Take a Bronco to Lunch meeting. In-person meetings are encouraged to be on-campus, during daylight hours when possible. 5. For this one-time mentoring session, your mentor is encouraged to pay for your meal. 6. During your meeting, you are encouraged to ask informational questions, present your resume for critique, and learn the value of networking. Remember, this may not be a "perfect" match, however all mentors are selected with your career goals in-mind and have a great deal of knowledge to share.
