My career has been spent as a chief sales manager in the phone book industry. I was VP of Impact Directories for over a decade dealing with how to sell an analog product in a digital world. Throughout my career I have had to constantly research, evaluate, make changes, and evaluate again. Managing print advertising sales in a digital advertising world is difficult. As I am constantly researching and learning more about online and print advertising as it continues to evolve, I have been able to teach other businesses about the pros and cons, related to their industry, of advertising on the radio vs. billboards vs. email, online, and print.

In 2014 I instigated the opening of more phone books for my company. On paper that seems crazy, but because of my in-depth market research, we found the perfect location to start a new phone book in Wisconsin. We started three more books in Wisconsin in the next three consecutive years. At this point our books were profitable and they helped reduce overhead. Our phonebook company was still profitable even in 2018, and sold in the digital world of 2019.

During the last several years it has become a passion for me to help other businesses with their sales trainings and processes in order to find solutions to help their business continue to grow.

Outside of work I love to fly fish, ski, backpack, woodwork, read, and mountain bike. I have a large and noisy family that I love dearly.
