On March 29, 2019, Boise State’s chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi (AKPsi), a co-ed professional fraternity, hosted their 50th-anniversary event at the Galaxy Event Center in Meridian. The keynote speaker for the event was John LeVering, a Boise State University and AKPsi alum. LeVering works in acquisitions for the Department of Energy and is the chairman of the board for Alpha Kappa Psi. In attendance were over seventy people, made up of the chapter’s current members, alumni and their guests.

As part of the celebration, the chapter chose COBE Building Manager Gail Puccetti as an honored faculty member. In a traditional ceremony, Puccetti was inducted to the AKPsi brotherhood and was pinned by Matt Moore, past Boise State AKPsi chapter president.

“We selected Gail as our honoree because she has always made herself available to chapter members as a knowledgeable source for event planning and campus policies and she is a trusted mentor to our members,” said Jason Moore, AKPsi chapter vice president.

After 50 years of being on the Boise State campus, the chapter is hopeful for the future. For more information see the Alpha Kappa Psi – Theta Omicron website.
