TechHelp Helping Manufacturers through the Pandemic

Since the start of the pandemic TechHelp has committed to retool programs to address Idaho manufacturing and food processor needs, given restrictions limiting travel and in-plant consulting. The team has moved many programs previously delivered in-person to on-line platforms. While this was a challenge, it has resulted in creative and innovative programs that now reach more companies, including some outside of Idaho.

Since March, TechHelp worked with individual client companies on more than 30 product development, operational excellence and food processing projects; conducted 19 training events with more than 300 participants; and proposed more than $4 million in federally funded grant projects, more than $600,000 of which have been awarded. Over the past year TechHelp clients have reported 886 new and retained jobs and more than $180 million in sales, savings and investment economic impacts as a direct result of working with TechHelp.
