Maheshwar Boodraj, PMP

Maheshwar Boodraj joins us from Georgia State University, where he pursued a Ph.D. in computer information systems. His research interests include technical debt, software development, project management and experimental design. Before joining academia, he spent more than ten years in various managerial and technical roles at the Mona School of Business and Management and IBM.

Kyle Brookman

Kyle is a long-time Boise resident. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics here at Boise State University. He teaches Principles of Economics and Intermediate Microeconomics. His research interests are in labor markets and institutional design.

Nicole Cundiff, Ph.D.

Nicole Cundiff came to Boise from Fairbanks, Alaska, where she was the director of the Northern Leadership Center, as well as an associate professor and program director of business administration within the School of Management at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She specializes in diversity in leadership.

Joshua Cutler, J.D., Ph.D.

An Idaho native, Joshua Cutler taught at the University of Houston for five years prior to joining Boise State University. He teaches tax and accounting research and personal financial planning in the accountancy master programs. His research interests include the intersection of accounting and law, the religious foundations of taxation and economic regulation, and the history of taxation.

Sam C. Ehrlich, J.D., Ph.D.

Sam C. Ehrlich practiced as a sports agent consultant and immigration attorney before earning his Ph.D. in sport management at Florida State University. His research examines legal aspects of the sports industry, focusing on issues in athlete fairness in collective bargaining and the unique application of antitrust law to sports, risk management and tort liability for sport event managers.

Ray T. Fang, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor

Ray Fang worked in operations management in the U.S. and China for five years before developing a broad interest in studying how individuals and organizations can behave more ethically and successfully. He received his Ph.D. and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto–Rotman School of Management. His research program focuses on economic inequality, social class and job search.

Steve Hall

Steve Hall is a Boise State alumnus (MSE and BA in quantitative economics). His research projects involve distributed solar networks, real estate valuation, real estate taxation and urban land expansion growth accounting. He has co-presented research projects to the City of Mountain Home and the Idaho Tax Commission. Steve is an affiliate of the Energy Policy Institute at Boise State.

Steven J. Hyde, Ph.D., MGT

Steven Hyde received his Ph.D. in management from the University of Texas at San Antonio. His research focuses on topics related to executives, machine learning, corporate governance, motivation and deception. He teaches Strategic Tools and Business Policy and Strategy.

Julie Mercado, Ph.D, CPA

Julie Mercado

Prior to joining the Boise State faculty, Julie Mercado taught at Northeastern State University and the University of Alabama, where she received her Ph.D. Her research examines governance, management and donor decision-making in nonprofit organizations. She received the 2020 Outstanding Dissertation Award from the Government and Nonprofit section of the American Accounting Association.

Teagen Nabity-Grover, Ph.D.

Teagen Nabity-Grover is interested in studying the mental health benefits of online self-disclosure, as well as the effects of negative online encounters – such as cyberbullying and social engineering attacks. She is an alumna of the PhD Project’s Information Systems Doctoral Student Association and was a McNair Fellow at the University of Alabama.

Kevin is a long time Boise resident and member of the IT community.  He’s worked at a number of Boise institutions over the years, most recently Idaho Public Television.  His interests include business intelligence and analytics, computer security and web development.

Alex Ritzman, MBA, MAT

Wanting to help the generations following him, Alex Ritzman, obtained his master of arts in teaching from Pacific University. Teaching high school business and Boise State concurrent credit courses in Parma, Idaho, helped him align with post-secondary education. He is now the business 101 instructor at Boise State’s main campus.
