A leading business to business commerce platform, AppDirect, has acquired Tackle.io which plays a pivotal role in empowering software companies to efficiently and quickly navigate cloud marketplaces, enhancing their sales outreach to a broader audience. As reported by BoiseDev, this acquisition was for an undisclosed amount however at a valuation of $1.25 billion, this privately-held startup is what those in the investor market would call a unicorn.
Regarding this news, Computer Science Professor Amit Jain notes that this is likely the largest acquisition for any Idaho software company to date.
