Said Ahmed-Zaid was a Research Associate during 1984 and a Visiting Assistant Professor in the spring of 1989 at the University of Illinois. From 1985 to 1988, he was a principal research engineer with an overseas electric utility company. He taught at Clarkson University, New York, from 1989 to 1996, and then joined Boise State University in 1997 where he is currently an Associate Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering. Dr. Ahmed-Zaid’s research interests are in the areas of power systems, electric machines and drives, power electronics, and neural network applications. Dr. Ahmed-Zaid is a member of IEEE/PES/IAS/CSS, ASEE, Sigma Xi, and Eta Kappa Nu.
