Alex Smith, a Computer Systems Engineering major, and Electrical Engineering major Torben Vraciu were part of a team of students from Boise State who competed to develop new technologies for NASA\u2019s Artemis missions.\u00a0 The interdisciplinary team created the Locating Camera for Aquatic Recovery, or LOCATR, system. Their solution involved a webcam, a small computer, a computer vision model, and a user interface. They brought their solution to NASA\u2019s Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory for live testing in front of NASA researchers and nabbed the Innovation Award with their brilliant design.<\/p>\n
