He&#8217;s also an alumnus who has come full circle as a professor and researcher in Boise State&#8217;s College of Engineering. Estrada earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Boise State in 2007. Today, he is a professor in the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering, where his research in advanced materials and microelectronics is helping expand Boise State\u2019s national research profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estrada has secured nearly $31 million in research funding and leads projects spanning energy, water, health care, aerospace, and microelectronics.
