Service-learning can be defined as a form of experiential education where learning occurs through a cycle of action and reflection as students seek to achieve real objectives for the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore we are looking for projects that can directly benefit the community while equally benefitting the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-have-a-project-for-us\">Have a project for us?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tell us about them <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/vV6WFudAdN6gxX4G9\">by filling out this form!<\/a><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-examples-of-service-learning-projects\">Examples of service-learning projects:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Engineering students had to develop games, models, and teaching methods to keep middle school students interested in science\/engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incorporate technology and robotics in therapeutic play activities for children with disabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design and assist in the construction of a new playground.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating a healthy work environment for adults with disabilities through technology.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-current-service-learning-projects\">Our current service-learning projects:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Using a commercially available robotic arm to feed a high school student with disabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Redesigning a pizza box in order to reduce the amount being thrown away or recycled.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you for helping us help you!
