How you should prepare
The better prepared you are for college, the faster you can start taking those courses that excite and inspire you.
The best thing you can do is be ready for Math. Students who are ready to start MATH 170 (Calculus 1) or above are on-track to move successfully through the ME program. Your math placement scores will tell you which math course to start with.
Being able to write and understand English is a skill that is vital to success at the university level. Students will be placed in appropriate courses based on scores from The Write Class assessment.
The university has a set of courses it requires to provide you with skills, experience, and a well-rounded exposure to academic disciplines.
The Mechanical Engineering program is a challenging technical program that will provide you with a solid base in engineering foundations while offering opportunities to explore a variety of engineering paths.
